The Events Committee is at the heart of Politics Society. We are in charge of creating and organizing our weekly gatherings ranging from discussions to speakers to networking events. We also run the semesterly Inter-Club Debate, where we host a subject-specific debate between the College Democrats and College Republicans. The Events Committee meets once a week for half an hour to create, plan, and organize upcoming events.

The Events Committee is an integral part of PolSoc, and if you join, you’ll not only become a part of an amazing community of politics nerds, but you’ll be shaping the events that we host for the entire NYU community. We can’t wait for new committee members to give us fresh ideas and a strong commitment to helping PolSoc reach new audiences!

To become an Events Committee member, we require that you…

  • Attend weekly half-hour long meetings.
  • Attend as many weekly events as possible.
  • Be committed to the Politics Society’s mission statement.
