Nearly one month from the Iowa caucus, thirteen Democrats have dropped out of the presidential race--mayors, governors, and U.S. Senators among them. There are still fifteen (!) left, including the first prominent Democrat to announce their candidacy: former Congressman John Delaney of Maryland. As of this writing, Delaney has struggled to break ground in the polls, but he has recently redoubled his efforts in Iowa in the hopes that his brand of “pragmatic idealism” will eventually catch fire.
